Welcome! I am so glad you are here!
I offer one-on-one online tutoring for middle school math students through high school geometry and algebra II. I am a former classroom teacher, who has fallen in love serving students on an individual basis, helping them grow in their confidence and math skills.
"This session was really helpful! Now I understand the material, and I thought I never would. It's easy now. I was crying about how hard it was last night."

More About Tessa
Hello there! I found my passion to teach as a grade school student myself. I went on to graduate FSU with my education degree (where I discovered my passion for math) and immediately jumped into teaching in the classroom. I taught for four years, until I made the jump to private tutoring. I have been supporting students within and outside the schools ever since. Every student has individual challenges, strengths, and often self-doubt. I love getting to know them and their unique needs, and guiding them toward their goals and watching them light up when they reach them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who will you tutor?
I offer tutoring sessions for middle school students through high school geometry/algebra II. I offer math support through course work, skill based needs, and homework help.
Where can we meet?
I work with students exclusively online. Some may wonder, is it as effective? Overwhelmingly, yes! Students have said it themselves. We talk about our learning, our thought process, understanding, etc. Getting kids engaged and talking about math is the key!
How long are your tutoring sessions?
Sessions are typically held for 1 hour during the same time each week. Although some families have found more frequent sessions are needed (e.g., 2-3 times a week) or every other week.
Consistent times usually help everyone stay organized. However, life happens, and adjustments may need to be made from time to time.
How do we get started?
You can connect with me through the website form or by emailing me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will discuss what your child's specific needs are, and you can request an optional 15 minute introductory session, and decide on our weekly schedule.
